Over 95 leading names from across the world dealing with the golf industry showcased their products at a three-day exhibition that concluded here on Sunday.

New Delhi: Over 95 leading names from across the world dealing with the golf industry showcased their products at a three-day exhibition that concluded here on Sunday.
The third edition of the event featured every aspect of golf from equipment to green keeping to development and management of courses. Anil Dev, Chief executive of Sports & Leisure Worldwide, promoter of the event, said Indian golf industry would soon receive a huge boost. “A golf real estate fund of USD 150 million would be created to give a boost to Indian golf industry in the coming years,” Dev said. “The members of the Asian Golf Course Owners Association have decided to create fund of USD 150 million, which will be aimed at getting investment from South Asian, US and Indian companies. “The fund will go into the development of golf real estate and the focus will be on the development of around 150 projects in the next five years, including development of resort golf courses, which is totally absent from the Indian golf scenario,” said Dev.The Asia Golf Industry Show also held a two-day conference attended by more than 500 golf course owners and operators, club management staffs, superintendents and golf professionals. The conference was held concurrently with the exhibition, catering to the business and operating needs of the Asia and India continent golf industry. Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy Farooq Abdullah was the chief guest on the occasion. An award function was also organised where DLF won the ‘Best Golf Course in India’ award while Delhi Golf Club bagged the ‘Most Environment-Friendly Golf Club’ honour. PTI
