Bhullar`s title will raise the bar for Indian golfers: Sandhu

New Delhi: Professional Golf Tour of India Director Padamjit Sandhu congratulated Gaganjeet Bhullar for becoming the first Indian to win an event on the European Challenge Tour and said his exploits will raise the bar of Indian golfers in the world.

"Gaganjeet`s win is yet another giant stride for Indian professional golf and reaffirms his status as one of the most talented young golfers in Asia.”"Bhullar`s landmark victory will certainly raise the bar for a whole generation of Indian golfers," he added. Bhullar became the first Indian to win on the Challenge Tour after triumphing by one shot at the season-opening Euro 200,000 Gujarat Kensville Challenge in Ahmedabad yesterday.Bhullar battled with his nerves during a closing round of 75, but his five-under par 283 was enough to see off England`s Matt Ford, who signed for a round of 70 to finish just a stroke behind yesterday.
