Brilliant Kaymer storms to Shanghai success

Shanghai: Martin Kaymer shot a brilliant final round 63 to win the WGC-HSBC Champions event by three strokes with a 20 under par total of 268 on Sunday.

The German former world number one began the day five shots adrift of overnight leader Freddie Jacobson of Sweden but swept clear at the top of the leaderboard with a run of nine birdies over his final 12 holes.

Jacobson could only shoot a one-under 71 on the Sheshan International Club to finish alone in second place, a shot clear of Briton Graeme McDowell, who closed with a 67.
