Pune: Defending champion Chikkarangappa returned four-over 75 to cling on to his two-stroke lead after the third round of the Lalit Suri Western India Junior Golf Championship.
The Bangalore golfer carded 75 to stay at top spot with a tournament total of 10-over 223. Delhi`s Honey Baisoya, a Category B (U-15) player, replaced Ashbeer Singh Saini in the second place after a round of 74 and is two behind the leader at 12-over 225.Kapurthala`s Ashbeer Saini slipped to third place after a disappointing seven-over 78, three shots behind Baisoya.Category B players can also compete for top honours alongside Category A players as they play off the same tees as their senior group. In Category B (U-15), Rahul Ravi is in second place, seven shots behind Baisoya at 19-over 232 with Varun Verma and Arrush Ahuja tied for third place, five shots further back. PTI
