The Japanese team, with another good showing in the third round, continued at third place.
Australia, who have won the Nomura Cup on each of the last five occasions, will have to pull off a miracle if they hope to keep their streak alive as they are currently 36 strokes behind the leaders.
Delhi`s Rashid once again emerged as the best Indian performer with a round of four-over 76 but that didn`t prevent him from moving down three places in the individual standings, and he is currently tied for 28th place.
Koreans CW Han and MH Kim hold the top two spots in the individual category at five-under and three-under respectively.
