Australia`s Jason Day seized the outright lead at 10-under par on Friday as the second round of the PGA Championship resumed.
Day and fellow Aussie Matt Jones were both nine-under when a fierce thunderstorm packing high winds forced the suspension of play on Friday with 57 players still on the course.
Day couldn`t convert his birdie putt at the 15th when play resumed, but birdied 16 to reach 10-under and move one shot clear of Jones.
England`s Justin Rose parred the 18th to complete a five-under par 67 and held the clubhouse lead on eight-under 136.
Sweden`s David Lingmerth was in the clubhouse on 137, having completed his two-under 70 on Friday.
Masters and US Open champion Jordan Spieth, trying to join Ben Hogan and Tiger Woods as the only men to win three major titles in the same year, headed a group on six-under 138.
