Avondale: Finally, after 164 attempts American golfer Jason Dufner won his first ever PGA title by defeating Ernie Els in playoff at the Zurich Classic on Sunday. Both of them finished the regulation 72 holes on 19-under-par 269 and when playing for the 18th hole again during playoff, Els missed an 8-footer that would have ensured him a victory breaking a 2-year drought. In the end, Dufner overcame the 42-year-old South African to win the title just six days before his marriage. “It was a tough day. Ernie put up a good number. It has been tough getting that first win out here. Six years now. It feels good getting the monkey off my back," Dufner was quoted as saying in media reports. England’s Luke Donald finished third, 72 holes on 17-under 271, returning to top of the world rankings.
