Jeev misses cut in Phoenix Open

The final hole bogey sealed Jeev Milkha Singh’s fate as the Indian pro missed the halfway cut at the Phoenix Open golf tournament here.

Scottsdale: The final hole bogey sealed Jeev Milkha Singh’s fate as the Indian pro missed the halfway cut at the Phoenix Open golf tournament here.
Jeev needed to par the par-four 18th hole to squeeze himself inside the cut line set at 139 but all he managed was a bogey to crash out of the USD six million event after turning in an even-par 71. Jeev had a rather wobbly start to his second round where bogeys on the first and fourth holes left him two-over. The Indian, however, steadied the ship with birdies on the fifth, eighth and 13th to go one-under and looked set to make the cut before the final hole bogey put paid to his hopes. Mark Wilson (66) and Camillo Villegas (69) share the halfway lead at 11-under 131. PTI
