Taipei: With a typhoon threat looming large, C Muniyappa (74) and Himmat Rai (75) struggled in gusty conditions at Taiwan Golf and Country Club to slip to tied
26th and tied 34th respectively after the third round of the
USD 500,000 Mercuries Masters here today.
Muniyappa has a total of five-over 221 while Rai is a
stroke adrift at six-over.
Thailand`s Udorn Duangdecha returned a one-over 73 for a
three-day total of nine-under 207 to take the third round
lead.
The 38-year-old Thai continues to hold a slender one-shot
lead over four-time Asian Tour winner, Lin Wen-tang (71) of
Chinese Taipei.
Defending champion Lu Wen-teh, also of Chinese Taipei,
added a 68 to his two-day scores of 71 and 71 to take the
third spot, while compatriot Lin Keng-chi posted a 69 to take
the fourth place on 212.
