Seville (Spain): Indian golfers Jyoti Randhawa and Shiv Kapur missed the cut despite turning in
improved cards of even-par 72 in the second round of the European Tour`s Open de Espana here. Randhawa ended one-over 145, a stroke adrift of the cutline, while Kapur finished way down at five-over 149. On a roller-coaster day, seasoned pro Randhawa picked up five birdies -- four of them in the front nine -- and an equal number of bogeys. Kapur, on the other hand, needed a vastly improved card after nightmarish 77 in the opening round and level-par 72 was never going to be enough. The Delhi-golfer knocked off three birdies against an equal number of bogeys in the second round. At the top of the heap, Swede Johan Edfors jumped into sole lead with a sensational 64 that put his two-day total at 10-under 134. Following him a stroke behind were Spaniard Sergio Garcia (67) and England`s Mark Foster (66). PTI
