Noida: Shaurya Singh turned in a one-over 73
in the third and final round to win the PGTI Feeder Tour event
at the Noida Golf Course here on Thursday.
Shaurya totaled two-over 218 for the tournament to win by
one stroke over Manoj Kumar of Lucknow, who carded one-under
71 today.
Shaurya began with a birdie on the first but dropped a
couple of bogeys on the sixth and eighth to make the turn at
one-over.
On his back nine, the 25-year-old sank a four-footer
birdie on the 14th and followed it up with a 15-feet birdie
putt on the 15th, before closing with bogeys on the 16th and
18th holes.
The Delhi-based golfer climbed from second to first on
the PGTI Feeder Tour Order of Merit after he bagged the
winner`s cheque of Rs. 63,575.
Manoj of Lucknow made four birdies against three bogeys
to finish second at three-over 219, while one stroke behind
was Sudhir Sharma of Meerut.
One stroke further down were Pradeep Kumar and Karanjit
Singh Sandhu who shared the fourth place.
