Wentworth: Shiv Kapur carded a creditable one-under 70 to move up to tied 23rd after the third round of the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth Club.

The other Indian in the fray, SSP Chowrasia, shot a 75 and slid from tied 20th to 45th.

At the top of the leaderboard were Luke Donald and Matteo Manassero.

Donald, bidding to overtake Lee Westwood as world number one, was six shots behind the Italian 18-year-old after just six holes of the third round, but fought back magnificently to draw level.

Both players carded a one-over par 72, although their rounds could hardly have been more different in many ways.

Kapur`s third round was almost identical to his second round. He bogeyed the first, just as he has on all three days.

He then birdied the second and fourth, just like Friday and continuing the trend was a bogey on ninth.

On the back nine, he repeated his birdie on 13th, as he has three days. This time he had a bogey on 11th, as against 16th on second day but the birdie on 17th was a welcome change and ensured an under-par card, as against his 71 on Friday.

Donald, who was five-over for the front nine, fought back with four birdies on the back nine and that pulled him back
into contention.

On the last, another wayward drive into the forest at the last forced him to hack out and he found the green in four and sunk a 20-footer for par on the par-five finishing hole.

Teenage sensation Manassero mixed three bogeys with two birdies for his 72.

Manassero has already won twice on the European Tour in just over 12 months as a professional and a third victory now
would make him the youngest winner of the flagship event.

Spain`s Alvaro Quiros, who led halfway with Donald and Manassero, took seven on the ninth and eight at the 17th in a 76 that left him with four shots to make up.
