New Delhi: Tiger Woods has slammed a fake interview penned by sportswriter Dan Jenkins. Expressing his dislike at the satirical take, the 14-times Major winner termed the attempt “a grudge-fueled piece of character assassination”.
In the December edition of Golf Digest, the veteran writer tries to tickle funny bones by parodying on Wood's title drought, his habit of firing people, his failed marriage, being a bad tipper and many more.
Woods, who is planning to return to competitive golf this December at the Hero World Challenge, wrote a retaliatory article on The Players Tribune, “Did you read Dan Jenkins’ interview with me in the latest Golf Digest? I hope not. Because it wasn’t me,” Woods wrote in a piece headed “Not True, Not Funny”.
“It was some jerk he created to pretend he was talking to me. That’s right, Jenkins faked an interview, which fails as parody, and is really more like a grudge-fueled piece of character assassination. “Journalistically and ethically, can you sink any lower?” the 11-times PGA Player of the Year continued.
An indifferent Woods also took to micro-blogging site Tweeter to vent out his anger.

Jenkins, often regarded as the the best sportswriter in America, was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2011.
