Vani-Aditi clash in Usha Western India Ladies Open

Mumbai: All eyes will be on teen golfers Vani Kapoor and Aditi Ashok when they return to the Indian Golf Union`s Usha Amateur Tour, clashing in the Western India Ladies Open Amateur from Tuesday.

The event will be held from tomorrow to Thursday at the BPGC in Mumbai.

Vani and Aditi, colleagues in the Indian team at the Usha Queen Sirikit Cup earlier this year in Delhi, have both topped professional events in recent weeks.

Aditi won an event in the Southern leg of the WGAI Tour and Vani won an event in the Northern leg.

Both golfers are still in their teens. While Vani is 17, Aditi is just over 13.

The two will have to contend with Mehar Atwal, who held off Vani Kapoor`s incredible late charge at the Usha Southern India Ladies Amateur Golf.

Tvesa Malik and Gurbani Singh, now second on the Order of Merit, will also be contenders. They were third and fourth in the previous event.
