Martin-Brisac brothers enjoying their role in France team

New Delhi: They are not the most famous siblings in the world of sports but Martin-Brisac brothers -- Simon and Nicolas -- are just happy to don the national colour for the France hockey Team in the Olympics qualifiers.

For Simon and Nicolas, hockey runs through their blood as they have a huge history of the sports in their family.

"Our father was an international hockey player, same goes for my grand father who was the goalkeeper of the french team, my mother also played hockey, so you can say it runs in our blood," said Simon.

"But the sport is not popular in France, we don`t see hockey in TV, it is more football but we are very happy to play the sports, representing the country at the international level is a thing of pride," he says.

The Martin-Brisac brothers have been to India for the first time and says it is the best place to play the sport.

"We have come to India for the first time and it is the best place to play hockey, the crowd is very supportive, we saw it yesterday. We hope we can reach the finals and play against India," says Nicolas in a free-flowing chat after

France beat Italy 3-0 at the Dhyan Chand National Stadium here.

Though their love for the game remains unmatched, the martin-Brisac brothers doesn`t want to take it up as a career.

"We don`t want to take up Hockey as a profession as there is no money in the game, you can`t make hockey as a career in france, we play because we love the sport and it is just for fun. We are still studying. Nicholas is studying Pharmacy and me Economy," says Simon.
