Pak hockey coach cries conspiracy behind team's 'humiliation' in India

Karachi: Pakistan hockey chief coach Shahnaz Shaikh has claimed that there was a conspiracy against his team following the suspension of Mohammad Tousiq and Amjad Ali meted out in the recently held Champions Trophy in Bhubaneswar.

Shahnaz, who is also the manager of the team, said that there was a conspiracy against their team in Bhubaneswar, where an apology was forced upon them to submit in the interest of Pakistan hockey, the Dawn reported.

Alleging the incident as a case of victimization, he said that the incident had naturally affected their game in the final against the Germany.

Earlier, Shahnaz rendered an official apology to International Hockey Federation (FIH) and Hockey India for the obscene gestures made by their players after their win against India in the semi-final of the FIH Men's Champions Trophy 2014.
