Dhaka: After beating Pakistan comprehensively in their opening match of World Twenty20, now it`s time for India to lock horns with defending champions West Indies.
India must be high on confidence after thrashing Pakistan by seven wickets. But against the West Indies, they have to fire all cylinders, as the Caribbean team is one of the most dangerous sides in the shortest format of the game.
Though Indian front-line spinners bowled their heart out in the opening match, fast bowlers were still erratic. And on top of it, West Indies have a destructive batting line-up. In the likes of Chris Gayle, Dwayne Smith, Marlon Samuels and Darren Sammy, they have power-hitters who can turn the tables single-handedly.
The biggest positive that India will carry from the last match, would be the form of their batsmen. Most of their top order batsmen are back in form. Both the openers Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma played sensibly in the pressure match against Pakistan and gave India a solid partnership up front. Then in the middle order, Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina also added some crucial runs under their belt.
One player who could trouble the in-form Indian batsman is Sunil Narine. The right-arm spinner is still a mystery and has the ability to stop the run-flow and provide crucial breakthroughs at any given point. So Indian batsmen have to come out with some plan against him.
The match isn`t going to be easy for India and they have to hit the ground running to beat the Caribbean side.
