London: Before the 100m event of the London Olympics 2012 started there were question marks raised on whether Jamaican Usain Bolt can repeat the feat of Beijing 2008. Some tipped his training partner Yohan Blake for the new title. On the greatest stage, Bolt clocked 9.63 seconds, second fastest time in the world, only behind his own 9.58 that he had clocked in crowning himself as the World champion in Berlin in 2009. He joined Carl Lewis as the only ones to win the 100 metres twice in the Olympics. It was also an Olympic record 9.69s he set in Beijing four years ago. World’s fastest man is now warming up for another feat as Usain Bolt begins a highly anticipated 200m title defence at the London Olympics on Tuesday. Bolt returns to the Olympic stadium bidding to become the first man to win two 200m golds and cement himself as unquestionably the greatest sprinter in history.
