HI admits typo-error regarding John`s appointment as manager

However, HI sources stated that John will be the stand-in manager during the Olympics as that would give him a chance to sit in the dig-out as per wished of chief coach Michael Nobbs. "There was an emergency meeting of HI`s executive committee to discuss the issue of the objections raised by the Services, Air India, Jharkhand and Rajasthan regarding how a foreigner like John has been appointed manager of the hockey team. However, it was clarified later that it was a typo error and John was not the manager but the stand-in manager. We have clarified all the units that our manager is Clarence Lobo," a source in the know of things told PTI today. A decision also taken that during the preparatory tours of Spain and France, former India captain Dilip Tirkey will be the stand-in manager. PTI
