High hopes from state`s sportpersons in Olympics: Hooda

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh on Saturday said that he has high hopes from the state`s sportspersons who are participating in the upcoming Olypmpic Games in London.

Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh on Saturday said that he has high hopes from the state`s sportspersons who are participating in the upcoming Olypmpic Games in London.
Interacting with the five boxers of Haryana here, Hooda said: "I have high hopes and expectations from them, they will bring laurels to the state and the country." Accompanied by their coaches, five boxers -- Jai Bhagwan, Vijender, Vikas Krishnan, Manoj Kumar and Sumit paid a visit to the chief minister on Saturday. In all, seven boxers of the country would compete in the Olympics and five of them are from Haryana. Wishing them luck, Hooda indicated that he may pay a visit to London to cheer the country`s sportpersons. Hooda said that there would be about 80 sportspersons in the Indian contigent which would participate in the Olympics and 18 of them would be from Haryana. PTI
