London Olympics 2012 wrestling: Geeta Phogat in repechage round; in bronze medal contentionZeenews Sports Bureau

London: India`s Geeta Phogat is still in contention to win a bronze medal in the women’s freestyle 55kg as she will now contest in repechage round where she has to overcome two opponents to lay her hand on the bronze medal.

Verbeek Tonya Lynn of Canada to whom Geeta lost reached the finals of the event allowing Geeta a chance in the repechage round.

In the repechage round Geeta would need to win two bouts. First up she will be against Tetyana Lazareva against Ukraine.

If she wins the bout she will face Jackeline Renteria Castillo of Colombia for the bronze medal.

In Beijing Olympics Indian wrestler Sushil Kumar had also won the bronze winning the two repechage rounds.
