Canoe slalom: France`s Fer paddles to kayak gold

Emilie Fer of France won the Olympic gold medal in the women`s kayak slalom Thursday. Fer, a 2006 World Champion, stole the gold from 18-year-old Australian Jessica Fox after completing the course 0.6 seconds faster.

Olympics 2012: China`s Zhang Jike wins gold in table tennis

World No.1 Zhang Jike beat fellow Chinese player Wang Hao for gold in Thursday`s Olympic table tennis singles final.

Zhang, the 24-year-old World Champion, closed it out in five games to win four games to one - 18-16, 11-5, 11-6, 10-12, 13-11.
