London: It’s the first good news for India at the London Olympics as Parupalli Kashyap playing his inaugural match in badmintons’ men`s singles, defeated Belgian`s Tan Yuhan, 21-14, 21-12.
After a neck-to-neck fight in the first set, Kashyap comfortably won the second set and the Belgian couldn’t match his stroke play.
It is the first win by an Indian contingent at 2012 London Olympics. He is now to face Vietnamese player who is ranked world no 10.
