This girl from Kohlapur, Maharashtra grabbed headlines when she earned a gold medal in her first major competition - the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune. She idolises fellow Maharashtrian & 50m rifle prone world champion Tejaswini Sawant who has also earned a gold medal with Anisa Sayyed in 25m pistol shooting event (Pairs) at the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games. The bronze medal, which she won at Ft. Benning, Georgia, USA during the International Shooting Sports Federation World Cup, gave her the London Olympics berth.
