Sahara announces medals of gold to winning athletes at Oly
Corporate major, Sahara India today announced to reward the Indian athletes with pure gold, who will manage to clinch a medal at the London Olympics commencing tomorrow.

Lucknow: Corporate major, Sahara India today announced to reward the Indian athletes with pure gold, who will manage to clinch a medal at the London Olympics commencing tomorrow.
Sahara will be awarding a 5 kg medal of pure gold to athletes winning gold medals, 3 kg to silver medallists and 2 kg to bronze medallists each, at the London Games.
For team events, the 5 kg of gold will be equally distributed amongst all the members of the squad winning gold, 3 kg of gold for silver and 2 kg for bronze, in the shape of medals.
Subrata Roy Sahara, Managing Worker and Chairman, Sahara India Pariwar, said, "I strongly believe that there can hardly be any appreciation which can equate the undaunted efforts put in by the players who emerge victorious in the prestigious Olympics and bring the much coveted honour to our motherland."
"This reward is a small token of appreciation from us to the sportsmen to achieve great success and bring laurels to our beloved nation by procuring such highly acclaimed international distinctions," he said.
The sponsor of Indian cricket and hockey (men & women national and junior teams), owner of IPL cricket team and Sahara Force India Formula 1 Team, Sahara India Pariwar has adopted boxing, wrestling, archery, shooting, track & field and tennis covering support of a total of 101 sportsmen in these six games who are potential medal winners, until after London Olympics.
Apart from this, it has also extended support to the Indian volleyball by sponsoring the men`s national teams (senior & junior) for a span of four years till 2016.
