Mahesh Shrinivas Bhupathi, born on 7th June 1974 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, has currently 649-327 (win-loss) record in ATP circuit.

He has 50 career titles to his name, including 12 grand slam titles.

Turned pro in 1995, Mahesh has concentrated mainly on doubles category of lawn tennis.

Since 1997, he had numerous doubles and mixed doubles partner but the most famous, successful and controversial partnership has been with Leander Paes. The Indian duo has a 303-103 win-loss career record together. Padma Shri recipient Bhupathi is participating only in the men`s doubles event at London Olympics -. He paired with Rohan Bopanna.

TRIVIA

Mahesh owns a production company called big daddy productions, which co-produced Bollywood film ‘Chalo Dilli’ (2011).
