The US-based Gowda had already qualified for the World championships, with his 63.69m in the Commonwealth Games. Recently, on 12th April Vikas Gowda proclaimed his Olympic ambitions in telling fashion with a National record of 66.28 metres in the Old Style discus challenge meet at Norman, Oklahoma, US.
