London: Andy Murray defeated Roger Federer 6-2, 6-1, 6-4 in the men's final to bag an Olympic gold on Sunday.

Here is what happened in the three sets

THIRD SET: Murray 6:4 Federer. And he has won it! What a moment for Andy Murray! He was at the receiving ened in the Wimbledon final a month ago and he has bounced back to make his country proud on the home turf.

London: SECOND SET: Murray wins the second set 6-1. Federer is clearly struggling in the crucial match. The Swiss had a tough game against del Potro in the semis and he is completely out of form in the final as well.

FIRST SET: Murray wins the first set 6-2. Murray dictated the terms in the first set as Federer looked out of form. The crowd is once again behind the local boy -Andy Murray!

After Wimbledon final, Britain’s No. 1 Andy Murray and Roger Federer will once again lock horns in the men’s singles final at London Olympics.

Both the players are in sublime form. Roger Federer defeated Argentina’s Juan Martin del Potro, 3-6, 7-6 (5), 19-17, in a semifinal that went on for 4 hours, 26 minutes.

Murray on the other hand moved to the final with a 7-5, 7-5 victory over the second-seeded Serb in the second semi-final.

Not to forget, Andy Murray was the runner up at Wimbledon men’s final earlier this year where he was defeated by Roger Federer, who ended his Grand Slam drought.
