Melbourne: Sahara Force India’s Nico Hulkenberg enjoyed a productive day in Melbourne as the German qualified in ninth place for Sunday’s Australian Grand Prix. Teammate Paul Di Resta finished 15th on Saturday.

“I’m very happy with today’s result because I was not sure we would be able to make Q3. We did a good job after FP3 to improve the set-up and I’m feeling much more comfortable with the car now,” Nico Hulkenberg said.

McLaren`s Lewis Hamilton took pole position ahead of team mate Jenson Button as world champion Sebastian Vettel was pushed to the third row of the grid.
