Manama: Jenson Button emerged with disappointed after a frustrating day at practice for the Bahrain Grand Prix on Friday when he suffered a series of problems with his McLaren-Honda car.

The 2009 world champion stopped out on track twice, once in each practice session, at the Sakhir Circuit and endured many other difficulties on his way to 19th place in the times.

"It was a tricky day," he said. "In the first session, I stopped out on circuit as a safety precaution for the engine. We got the car back quickly and the guys worked very hard to get everything sorted.

"But we still had our problems in FP2, I went out on the soft tyres and had a problem and had to come back in. I was on low fuel and everyone else on high fuel... It was difficult to get any running in.

"So, not a great day, but we got a lot of useful data from the other car."
