London: Former world champion Damon Hill has backed McLaren driver Jensen Button to win his second world championship.
Hill feels Button is at a magic window phase, where age and experience meet speed and desire.
But Hill also feels that performances of McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton and Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel, who both had smashed records as the youngest champion, are challenging this concept.
“The curve should go that the young guys make all the mistakes and don’t have the experience, but Vettel has put that one to bed,” The Sun quoted Hill, as saying.
“These are guys who have been racing since they were five years old and by the time they get to F1 they are incredibly experienced. I still think the magic window is 30-33,” he added.
