New Delhi: Though, Indian Grand Prix won’t be the part of next season’s F1 calendar but this season there is certainly a good news for Indian F1 fans to cheer for.
Sebastian Vettel who almost has one hand in this year’s Drivers’ Championship, is all set to statistically win the race in the next stop, that is the Indian GP.
Even after winning the Japanese GP on Sunday, there is still a formality left for the German to make sure that no one can snatch the title from him in the very season.
It is very much on the cards that now he will finish that formality during the Indian GP at Buddh International Circuit later this month.
During the first Indian GP in 2011, Vettel already took a huge lead that made himself invincible even before the inaugural race.
But this season if he takes the invincible lead in India, then it would not only be a special moment for the Red Bull driver and his team but it will also delight the Indian fans as well. It might give the Indian fans some solace as they won’t be able to enjoy the race from stands in the next season at BIC in Greater Noida.
In today’s race at Suzuka circuit, the 26-year-old claimed his fourth win in the last five years which gives him a lead of 90 points over Alonso with four races, and a maximum 100 points, remaining.
So we can hope that during the Indian GP fans will cheer the Red Bull driver rather than not booing him.
