The Baba Reshi Lions will be competing against some of the top teams of the country -- Team Mahindra, Team Maruti and Team TATA -- on the mountainous tracks of Pir Panjal range in the western Himalayas in Jammu and Kashmir.
"We are looking forward for our long term association with the Himalayan motorsports, which is the organiser of this rally. We hope this would be a start for us," team owner of Baba Reshi Lions, Sajad Alam, told reporters.
He said that Baba Reshi Lions has 30 members including drivers, navigators and mechanical support team.
"One member of our team is from the state, others are from Delhi, Rajasthan and Uttrakhand," Alam said.
The rally, being organised by Himalayan Motor Sports Association in coordination with Jammu and Kashmir Tourism department, will held on Saturday and Sunday.
"The Mughal Rally has grown over the years. This year we have 105 teams participating," President of Himalayan Motorsport, Vijay Parmar said.
He said the competition this year will be "tough" as top teams from across the country will be participating in the rally.
