London: Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has said that he is literally praying like crazy for Marussia driver Jules Bianchi, after the racer had a horrific accident in the Japanese Grand Prix last Sunday.
Hamilton said that for the last few days, he has not stopped thinking about Bianchi, after his accident in the Japanese Grand Prix. He added that it is sad that the Frenchman is in such a serious condition in hospital.
Hamilton said that he has literally just been praying like crazy for Bianchi, as he is aware a lot of people have and he is hoping for the best, The BBC reported.
The Brit said that Bianchi's accident could have happened to any one of the drivers that day at Suzuka last weekend. He added that it is very strange being there in Russia for the next race now, but this is how life is sometimes.
Hamilton said that he just hopes they have a safe weekend. He said that the drivers are all carrying a message of support for Bianchi on their helmets for this race, and he feels like they are carrying him with them, that the Frenchman is there with them in spirit.
Hamilton said that danger is never far from their minds. He said that he does not really know Bianchi very well, but added that from what he does know of him is that he is a good guy with great talent and ability.
Bianchi remains in hospital in Japan and there have been no updates on his condition since it was announced by the FIA that he was critical but stable on Tuesday, the report added.
