London: Ace driver Lewis Hamilton has said that now is the `perfect time` for him to become a Formula One legend.
The 2008 world champ is just seven days away from making his Mercedes debut after severing his 13-year ties with McLaren.
Hamilton has set himself the target of breathing new life in misfiring Merc, who have only won one race in the last three years.
According to a report, the British ace wants this to be his era of domination, just as Michael Schumacher did at Ferrari.
Hamilton said that he `still has the hunger because he has not achieved greatness.`
He said that over the next three years, his target is to win as many world championships as possible.
Hamilton said that he was the number one for short period of time and was toppled by Sebastian Vettel.
He said that Fernando Alonso has had his success, but he wants to be at the forefront again.
The 28-year-old added that `this is the perfect time for him, and that he realizes he has a bit of time left to achieve that.`
