Wellington: An amateur Polish mechanic, who has a penchant for building replicas of supercars, has reportedly built a replica McLaren Formula One car and has put it in on the market for 45,000 NZ dollars.
Jacek Mazur, who took eight years built the copy of the Mclaren car, had previously built a Ferrari Testarossa, a Lamborghini Countach and a Porsche 911.
According to Stuff.co.nz, Mazur had said that his McLaren replica is his greatest build yet and the price that he has put on it is much less than the real deal which will set a buyer back by several million dollars, adding that his car`s top speed is 320 kmh with an Audi V8 power plant.
Mazur also said that he is treated like a Hollywood star when he takes the car out for a drive, adding that the car`s small fourth seat is a tribute to diminutive Top Gear host Richard Hammond.
