Michael Schumacher may return to Formula One as replacement for injured Ferrari driver Felipe Massa, who sustained a life threatening skull injury after an accident during last week’s Hungarian Grand Prix.

New Delhi: Michael Schumacher may return to Formula One as a replacement for injured Ferrari driver Felipe Massa, who sustained a life threatening skull injury after an accident during last week’s Hungarian Grand Prix.The seven time world champion, who retired after the 2006 F1 season, is reportedly the first choice as replacement and could be back on the track as soon as the European GP in Valencia on 23rd August. But, his return will only be possible if Ferrari approach him to take the spot left vacant as a result of Massa’s injury. "The whole thing will be considered by Ferrari. If they approach Michael, then he will consider it," Schumacher’s spokeswoman was quoted as saying.
