14 Indian women kabaddi players hurt in accident

Bhatinda: A bus carrying the Indian women national Kabaddi team met with an accident near Bhatinda in Punjab on Thursday, killing 2 staff of the bus and injuring several players critically.

Of the 14 players travelling in the bus, the condition of 10 was stated to be serious while four others escaped with minor injuries, they said. After the accident the bus caught fire.

As per reports, the driver of the bus Barendra Sharma and head constable Harjeet Singh who accompanied the team died on the spot.

The injured players were rushed to the nearby hospital.

The team was on its way to Lambi for the second semi-final of the World Cup.
