New Delhi: India completed a scintillating 69-18 victory over England in their last Group A match on Tuesday in Ahmedabad, earning themselves a place in the semi-finals.

Finishing the group stage with 21 points in five matches, India faught back after losing the opening encoutner to South Korea. They subsequently secured 4 back-to-back victories, defeating Australia, Bangladesh and Argentina by huge margins.

South Korea, however, topped the group with 25 points having won all of their matches.

After just 10 minutes of play India broke into a lead of 17-4 soon extended it to 24-5 after inflicting their second all-out of the match. India then went started the second half with a dominant 45-6 lead.

Despite making four changes in the 2nd half, Indian dominance did not suffer as they continued to fetch easy points to end England campaign on a disappointing note in the tournament and earning themselves a place in the semi-finals.

Virender Sehwag and other celebrities also congratulated India on victory.
