New Delhi: Aditya Mehta registered his fifth win in a row at the 28th Asian Snooker Championships at Doha, Qatar when he blanked Liu hao wei of Taiwan 4-0 on Wednesday.
He went 3-0 in front with a 75 break in the third. He went on to win the match in the crucial 6th frame with a tough break of 53.
His earlier wins have been against Pakistan, Kuwait, Syria and Qatar in the tournament.
He has been playing well throughout the tournament and will play his final group match tomorrow morning.
"It`s a good confidence booster for me. I now look forward for the final rounds. I want to clinch the title this time," he said.
Aditya has already won a silver medal in the earlier Asian Tournament.
Over 40 players representing 15 countries have entered the contest currently underway on at Doha.
