New Delhi: Sports and Youth Affairs Minister M S Gill said his department was making available all files for scrutiny by the CVC which is probing alleged irregularities related to Commonwealth Games and has maintained transparency.
"No blocking of files. Sports Ministry has made available all documents. If CVC raises any question on the basis of any complaint, Sports Ministry would respond to it without delay," Gill told reporters outside Parliament responding to queries on the investigation by Central Vigilance Commission.
He said, "My instruction is to keep everything clean and ready. Whatever is asked, provide them.... We are maintaining transparency."
The minister said senior officials in his ministry like Joint Secretary or Secretary are authorised to respond to CVC queries.
"For the last three years we have maintained this practice that Joint Secretary or Secretary in the ministry would respond to any query from CVC," Gill said.
The Sports Minister also congratulated sportspersons for bringing laurels to the country in the Asia Games.
