Pretoria: A cricket bat with blood on it is the main piece of evidence that the police intend to use in their case against South African Paralympic star Oscar Pistorius as he’s being tried for ‘premeditated murder’, according to City Press, a South African newspaper.
This is the latest twist in the broiling case that started in the early hours on Valentine’s Day when the man famously referred to as the ‘Blade Runner’ shot his girlfriend, model Reeva Steenkamp.
The athlete first appeared in court on Friday and broke down as the prosecution and defence engaged in early arguments.

A hearing for his bail has been scheduled for Tuesday. Meanwhile, he’s being held at the Brooklyn police station, after the court agreed to keep him out of local prison.
