British Minister plays Badminton to promote London Olympics
Bangalore: UK Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Jeremy Browne played badminton with former All England Champion Prakash Padukone and ex-National Coach Vimal Kumar here on Monday to "celebrate sport and the London 2012 Olympics".
The event at Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy was organised by the British High Commission and Olympic Gold Quest (OGQ). They were joined by Ian Felton, British Deputy High Commissioner in Bangalore.
Prior to the Padukone-Browne vs Vimal Kumar-Felton "match", Vimal Kumar conducted a training session for a group of children.
Started by sporting legends Geet Sethi and Padukone, it was noted, OGQ is a programme of the Foundation of Sports and Games, India, a not-for-profit organisation.
