New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed happiness after Indian shuttler PV Sindhu won the Macau Open Grand Prix Gold on Sunday.

Sindhu got the better South Korean Kim Hyo Min in the summit clash. The 19-year old beat her opponent in straight sets 21-12, 21-17 and successfully defended her title at the Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion.

The teen sensation stamped her authority by pocketing the game in just 45 minutes.

Earlier in the tournament, the two-time World Championship bronze-medallist, had defeated Thailand's Busanan Ongbumrungpan in 42 minutes in the semi-final.

November proved quite fruitful for Indian badminton with Saina Nehwal and K Srikanth winning the China Open titles in their respective singles categories.
