Froome crashes on Tour de France, sustains bruises

Defending champion Chris Froome crashed during the fourth stage of the Tour de France on Tuesday, sustaining bruises on his left hip, shoulder, knee and elbow.

Lille (France): Defending champion Chris Froome crashed during the fourth stage of the Tour de France on Tuesday, sustaining bruises on his left hip, shoulder, knee and elbow.
The Briton fell off his bike five kilometres into the 163.5-km ride from Le Touquet and quickly got back to his bike. Froome, who is fifth overall two seconds behind Italian Vincenzo Nibali, crashed on the same side during last month`s Criterium du Dauphine. He was being helped back into the peloton with the help of his Sky team mates.
