Pune: Gujarat`s Dhvaj Haria lined himself up for a double crown in the ongoing sub junior nationals by entering the final of the billiads event at the PYC Hindu Gymkhana on Monday.
Haria, who had lifted the sub junior billiards crown earlier, would clash with Maharashtra`s Jaiveer Dhingra in the final of the sub-junior snooker event on Tuesday.
In the semi finals, Haria outclassed Maharashtra`s Ishpreet Chadha 3-0 (53-25, 85(30)-20, 47-18), while Dhingra got the better of Punjab`s Sahil Nair, also by 3-0 (44-34, 58-51, 56-36).
Later Chadha defeated Nair in three straight frames (22-63, 73-34, 62-47) to finish third.
In the junior billiards round robin, AP`s Himanshu Jain registered a century break on way to a 596(71,110)-560 (61,42), victory over UP`s Malkeet Singh but was later beaten by MP`s Ketan Chawla 920(62,51,76)-619.
Gujarat lad Haria shut out Chawla 716(55,47,43)-658(45).
