Haryana Assembly congratulates men`s hockey team

Haryana Assembly unanimously passed a resolution appreciating and congratulating the Indian men`s hockey team.

Chandigarh: Haryana Assembly on Friday unanimously passed a resolution appreciating and congratulating the Indian men`s hockey team for it`s excellent performance in the recently concluded Olympic qualifiers.
The minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Randeep Singh Surjewala, moved the resolution on Friday during the ongoing budget session of the assembly, which was also lauded by the opposition, BJP and INLD. Surjewala has placed resolution to record the appreciation of the House to Indian hockey team for its excellent performance and congratulate it`s victory in qualifying games for the upcoming London Olympics. "This House particularly places on record its appreciation of two Haryana players Sandeep Singh and Sardara Singh for their outstanding individual performance and for their team spirit," the resolution stated. "This House also places on record its appreciation for the laudable awards and encouragement announced by Haryana Government for the entire Indian hockey team and particularly two players of Haryana," it added.
