New Delhi: Their quota places for the 2012 London Olympics booked -- Indian shooters Sanjeev Rajput, Vijay Kumar, Rahi Sarnobat and Annuraj Singh will enter the upcoming ISSF Rifle and Pistol World Cup final in Wroclaw, Poland -- on a confident note.
About 87 shooters from 30 countries will participate in the tournament, scheduled to be held from September 18 to 24.
The shooters have qualified for the prestigious event on the basis of their performance in the 2011 ISSF Rifle and Pistol World Cup Series, which ended with the World Cup stage in Munich recently.In the 50m men`s rifle 3 position, Rajput will lead India`s challenge, while Kumar will gun for glory in the 25m rapid fire pistol category.
Rahi will aim for the top prize in women`s 25m Pistol, while Annuraj will try her luck in 10m pistol category.The four shooters had qualified for the London Games on the basis of their performance in the ISSF Rifle and Pistol World Cup Series, which travelled from Sydney to Changwon (Korea) and Fort Benning (USA) before reaching Munich last month.
The upcoming World Cup is the last competition of this year`s series.
