Indian Polo team beat Proteas 9-6

New Delhi: Beginning its preparations for the upcoming World Cup, India`s Polo Team today recorded a convincing 9-6 win over formidable South Africa on Sunday.

It was first international match that India played in 2010.

India will now travel to South Africa for a reverse tie in February. The World Cup will start in April in Argentina.

Samir Suhad, who scored seven goals for India, was adjudged `Man of the Match`.

The Indian Team, led by Col Tarun Sirohi was later felicitated by Union Corporate Affairs Minister of Salman Khurshid.

Captain Vishal Chauhan scored two goals.
