Indian Railway Squads for shooting championship announced

An eight-member men and five-member women squads will lead the Indian Railway`s challenge at the 14th USIC World Railways shooting championship at Krakow in Poland from August 23-27.

Kolkata: An eight-member men and five-member women squads will lead the Indian Railway`s challenge at the
14th USIC World Railways shooting championship at Krakow in Poland from August 23-27. Railways ace Suma Shirur, who will be attending the trials for the upcoming Commonwealth and Asian Games will not be able to compete in the meet. The Indian shooters will vie for top honours in four different events including free rifle (prone and three position), air rifle, air pistol and sport pistol, Eastern Railway said in a media conference here today. Eastern Railway`s Amarnath Banerjee and Joydeep Banerjee will coach the men`s and women`s squads respectively. Squads: Men: Yogesh Sudke, Jitendra Vibhuti, Yogesh Gadmale (all Central); Viswajeet Sindhe, Ashok Karnade (both Western); Joydeep Karmakar (South Eastern); Pankaj Poddar (Eastern); Bipin Rana (Northern) Women: Anu Tomar, Anuja Jung, Anisa Sayyed (all Western); Ruchira Lawand (Central), Reserve: Snehal Patel (Western). Coaches: Amarnath Banerjee, Joydeep Banerjee (both Eastern); Manager: Manoj Dubey (Eastern). PTI
